Having joined AKA, the specialist arts, culture, leisure and entertainment advertising agency in 2000 Amanda was part of the management and senior leadership team that grew the agency group from small start-up with 5 people to over 500 team members with 5 offices globally, 3 different organisational brands and a turnover of £100M+. She stepped down from her role as Managing Director and Board Director in late October 2024.
During her tenure she was responsible for creating the media agency arm of the business, setting the vision, strategy and growth of the business from a live entertainment client base to a wider arts, culture, visitor attraction and leisure agency securing some of the biggest cultural contracts such as the DCMS museum and gallery framework including the Tate, V&A, British Museum, Science Museum, NHM, National Gallery, NPG, high profile heritage contracts including Historic Royal Palaces and English Heritage alongside clients too numerous to include here such as The Royal Opera House, Billy Elliot the musical, Jersey Boys and ABBA Voyage.
She was responsible for rebuilding the agency post Covid to a thriving agency, awarded a Sunday Times Best Places to Work in 2023 and a Top UK 25 advertising agency in 2023 and 2024.
In August 2022 until March 2023 she took on the interim role of Commercial Director for ABBA VOYAGE, alongside her role as Managing Director of AKA. She supported ABBA Voyage, based in-house following the successful launch, strategising, building and overseeing all commercial activity including marketing, PR, advertising and ticketing.
In February of this year Amanda was appointed as Managing Director Europe of Neon Global. A hugely ambitious organisation specialising in unique, experiential and large scale epic experiences with high profile IP. Her first project will be the launch of Jurassic World the Experience opening in May at Battersea Power Station with several European projects mooted to launch across 2025 and 2026.
Amanda is passionate about supporting and developing talent across the sector and having known and worked with Dawn for many years she is delighted to be participating in On Sale.
